As the cool mornings roll in, it's essential to make sure your heater is working properly to avoid any unexpected chills. To avoid that last-minute panic, here are some ways to check if your vehicle's heater is in good shape:
🌡️ Monitor the temperature gauge: After starting your car, let it warm up and watch for the needle to rise from "C" to "H." If it stays on "C," the thermostat might be broken.
💨 Inspect the cabin air filter: A dirty air filter can block warm air from getting inside. If airflow from the vents is weak, it’s time to replace the filter, which is usually a quick fix.
🔎 Look for additional symptoms: Signs of a heater issue include coolant leaks, a sweet smell in the cabin, foggy windows, and an engine that’s overheating.
